If you were arrested on charges not involving violence, drugs or weapons and you were strip searched at Valencia County Detention Center in Los Lunas, New Mexico before your arraignment on or between April 3, 2004, and April 3, 2007, you may be entitled to compensation under a class action settlement.

The claim filing deadline was June 5, 2009. If your claim form was not postmarked or delivered by that date you will not be able to receive monetary compensation.

The settlement agreement was approved by the Court at the final approval hearing held on July 13, 2009.

Currently claim forms are being reviewed and it is anticipated that payment will be made to eligible class members during the fall of 2009.
